Enabling and disabling questionnaires

Mindchart lets you control which questionnaires are available in your workspace. This helps you keep the platform focused, avoid duplication, and ensure teams use a consistent set of measures.

You can enable questionnaires you plan to use, and disable ones you don’t need (without losing historical data).

Who can enable or disable questionnaires?

Typically, this is available to users with Admin (or similar) permissions.

If you can’t see the settings described below, you may not have the required access. Speak to your organisation admin or contact the Mindchart team.

Enable a questionnaire

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Open Questionnaires
  3. Find the questionnaire you want to use
  4. Select Enable

Once enabled, it becomes available when creating or assigning questionnaires to participants.

Disable a questionnaire

Disabling is useful if you no longer want a questionnaire to be selectable for new assignments.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Open Questionnaires (or Measures library)
  3. Find the questionnaire you want to remove from use
  4. Select Disable

What happens when you disable a questionnaire?

  • ✅ It is hidden from selection for new assignments
  • ✅ Existing records and historical results are kept
  • ✅ Past reports and dashboards remain unchanged
  • ✅ It can be re-enabled later if needed

Disabling is designed to be reversible and safe.

If you’re working across a clinic or organisation:

  • Decide on a core set of questionnaires (e.g. anxiety, mood, wellbeing)
  • Keep the library lean to make selection easier
  • Review enabled questionnaires periodically (e.g. quarterly)

A small, consistent set improves data quality and makes reporting more meaningful.

Common reasons to disable a questionnaire

  • It’s no longer part of your clinical pathway or evaluation approach
  • You want to reduce choice and improve standardisation
  • You enabled a measure for testing and don’t need it anymore
  • Your organisation is switching from one questionnaire to another

Need help?

If you’re unsure which questionnaires to enable for your setting, the Mindchart team can help you choose a sensible baseline set based on your use case (solo practice, clinic, university, or workplace wellbeing).
